Afterburner featured in Houston Business Journal

Afterburner was featured in the Houston Business Journal in an article titled Atlanta energy safety firm Afterburner expands to The Woodlands, which was built from interviews with Afterburner CEO, Jim Murphy, and Admiral Ron Horton, executive vice president for safety and leadership. The article discusses how Afterburner has been able to apply military strategy and the Flawless Execution model and adapted it to business safety and planning. With the new Houston office, Horton will be able to focusing specifically on oil & gas companies based in Houston.

Conducting offshore drilling may not exactly require military efficiency, but an Atlanta firm set to open an office in The Woodlands composed of former special operations forces believes the same attention to detail used by Navy SEALS can translate to the oil patch.

Afterburner Inc. staff train day-to-day operators on offshore drilling missions on how to succeed and keep crews safe.
